I have been participating in general maggotry.
This is a little maggot I whipped up between projects – therapeutic plushing for me, in a way.

Now I embark on a new adventure – a commission for an upcoming baby shower.
I’m particularly interested to see how this one turns out! What will I be making, you ask? Check back soon for the secret to be revealed – and don’t forget the PterodactylPants Haiku Contest coming your way on the 5th of July!

I am proud to announce my addition to the Plushteam’s $5 Mini Plush Monday Event!
Since I made these pieces for this very special promo event, their price is unprecedented and only available for a limited time.
It’s a STEAL, people, don’t miss out!
Much like my Mini-Escapes, these guys are teeny (about 5″ tall) and adorable, but do not have as much detail.

These 5 will be available starting tonight in the Plushteam’s Etsy shop – for only $5! You better hurry to snatch them up, though, they won’t last long at a price like that.

All done! 10 little plushies on their way to the Geode Gallery in Cleveland, OH.

And from the back:

A size comparison:

Posing with one of my new rings. My fingers are so tired from sewing all their mouths closed! I think I may modify this design and post a few more for sale online in the Plushteam’s Etsy shop. You’ll find them there this Monday, June 29th, as a part of the Plushteam’s $5 Mini Plush Mondays! There are so many adorable and inexpensive goodies up for grabs from other Plushteamers at this very moment, so go take a look.

Well, I’m working away over here, cranking out Mini Escapes for the Geode Gallery in Cleveland. They have been sewn, turned, and stuffed, and now I’ve got to add the details. Here’s what my dining room table looks like right now:

Well, I tried to make a pineapple out of fun foam for this month’s Plushteam Iron Plush Challenge. I love Plushteam challenges! They always make me stretch my imagination and try out new techniques.
Alas, this time it did not work out for me.
Here is what I tried to make:

The design is flawed, really. It is extremely top heavy, and the foam scales flower out at the bottom in an unpredictable way. Well, at least I didn’t predict it. Foam is hard to sew! And so many little scales . . . it took a long time to put together.
Oh, well! I’ve learned to embrace my failures.
Check out the other Plushteamers’ entries here!
A Pineapply Haiku:
My fingers are sore
But your foamy spikes remain
Unappetizing.
