I’m German. Well, by blood, not birthplace. I still feel German . . . sometimes. I felt it full-on when I saw these images the other day on the Etsy blog. They spoke to me – I was just drawn in. Is it my German blood that attracts me to these or are they just my aesthetic?

The book is called Malbuchgeschichten, by Ilse Firbas and illustrated by Heinz Kiessling. I’ve tried to google it to get my hands on a copy, but I can’t read German! The images are just stunning. They remind me a bit of the Wizard of Oz. If you find it somewhere for purchase, let me know!

I’m slowly regaining my crafty mojo. It’s been a long and winding road. Here’s a cute little bunny I whipped up for plush therapy, in between cutting and piecing a much bigger creature for an upcoming Plushteam challenge. (Mythology!)

It’s like eating a giant basket of greasy french fries when you’re hungover. Feels good.

I took this photo last week, just a few blocks from my house.

There’s an aura of mystery in this town now that spring is a-brewin’.

Who do you want to have by your side when the apocalypse rolls around?
This guy! He never takes off his hazmat suit and his gas mask is attached!

He can take it off from time to time – but only for as long as he can hold his breath.

It’s a radioactive world, and this critter is practically aglow with excitement.

I’ll trek through foggy,
post-apocalyptic haze,
and save the whole world!
