Uncle Mortimer
While Mr. Windsor is a laid back hipster, his little brother Mort is a huge geek. They have the same taste in eyewear, though.

Well, the Plushteam rocked San Mateo’s Maker Faire this past weekend. I sent a bushel of baby corn and some mini maggots to represent the windy city amongst the team’s amazing plush pieces. Check it out:
Here’s a screen shot of a Gigapan of the team’s setup at the Faire.
(What’s a Gigapan, right? I didn’t know either! See the entire photo in all its glory here.)
I’m very proud of my beloved Plushteam and all the hard work they put into being there for this show. (I wish I had been there, too!)

I’ve stripped Sir Windsor of his knighthood. He just got too haughty for his own good. He is now plain old Mr. Windsor. Just the regular dude next door.
Available now in the Plushteam Store.
A Paternal Haiku:
So sorry I’m late!
My striped necktie seems to be
All tied in a knot!

Father’s Day is around the bend, and here’s a sneak peek at some goodies for the occasion that will soon be available in the Plush Team Shop!
It never hurts to get a head start on shopping for that special man in your life! More to come on Sir Windsor.
(P.S. I had to Google how to tie a tie for this piece. I never stop expanding those horizons.)

I am a prolific maker of mixes. Always have been. I was that kid, back in 1994, with her ear glued to the boombox speaker, pressing “record” when those special songs came on the radio. Those mixes were fantastic – complete with choppy interjections from radio DJs. If I caught a song already halfway over? No problem! I recorded it anyway – I never knew when I’d be able to catch it again.
As technology improved, so did the mixing skills. CDs helped, Auido Galaxy helped even more. (Remember Audio Galaxy?) These days I make mixes all over the place, and give them out to friends like I was tossing out candy at a Memorial Day Parade.
Here’s a very special mix I am working on right now:
Today is my very-great-friend Cassie’s birthday, and I am perfecting a CD to send her for the occasion. We have a regular mix exchange, which I love – getting a CD from Cassie in the mail is like stepping through that elusive wardrobe to another world. She’s got excellent taste in tunes.
So, in the grand tradition of some of my favorite sites, like PikaLand and LesDouDoux, I will now present you with this groundbreaking glimpse into the world of a mix master.
1. Ingrid Michaelson – You and I
2. The Mae Shi – Run to Your Grave
