Every once in a while I see a firefly flitting about this city. Chicago is not amenable to the intricate mating ritual these bugs enjoy. There’s simply not enough grass. But now, thanks to the miracle of plush, Chicago never has to suffer from a lightning bug shortage again.

Pick yours up today!

I’m sending signals,
And batting my wings at you.

Well, Pitchfork was a great success! I had a ton of fun, saw a bunch of wacky hipsters sporting inventive tattoos and ironic T-shirts. And I sold some plush. Would I do it again? Even with only a week and a half to prepare? You bet!

I experimented with some creative marketing, which turned out well.

Well, it got a lot of laughs, anyway.
And the weekend wouldn’t have been complete without my friend Anya, of Boots and Tail Designs, who shared the table with me. We had so much fun!

And now for Pitchfork 2011 – I’ll start prepping now!
